  9. After watching corporations exploit the world’s resources and it’s people for so many years, it is refreshing to hear about Public Citizen victories. These accomplishments don’t always make the biggest headlines so it is important for its leaders to “Toot their horn” as Ralph Nader said.

    Even when citizens gathered on streets of New York, it took awhile for the media to notice. I can’t explain the helplessness, the hopelessness I was beginning to feel.
    Watching and listening the to the OWS sidewalk teach-ins and interviews has given me hope.

    Being reminded of Public Citizen victories (actually there was a lot I didn’t know) has revived my appreciation of America.
