At least 12 have been confirmed dead and several injured, after a shooting at a Navy Yard in Washington DC. Witnesses say a gunman was shooting from the 4th floor at people in a cafeteria. Reports claim two or three gunmen may have been involved in the attack. Several civilians and police officers are among the victims. Approximately 3,000 members of the military, government employees and contractors work in the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) headquarters in Building 197. The Navy Yard and surrounding areas, including the US Department of Transportation and Nationals Stadium, were on lockdown starting at 8:20 a.m. Local and federal authorities set up a reunification center in a parking lot at the nearby baseball stadium. Navy Yard Carnage: 13 dead in Washington, gunmen could be at large

Thirteen people have been killed in a mass shooting at a Navy Yard in Washington DC. One of the suspects died at the scene while its believed at least one more is still on the loose. A number of government buildings, including Congress, have been placed on lock down as a precaution.

  1. Why destroy the lives of honest workers, when potting a few king-pin Wall Street hoodlums would vastly benefit the entire planetary ecosystem ?

    This appears to be a desperate act of vindictive blind rage in a storm. Or on the other hand it could be an insidiously orchestrated atrocity, to ramp up the institutionally provoked paranoia.

    Military contractor? What we really mean is (psycho-)pathologically disturbed “hired gun.”
