Palestinians are welcoming a new proposal to heal their internal wounds.

A year since Hamas gunmen sent Fatah fighters fleeing Gaza in a deadly shooting spree, the Palestinian President wants to end the isolation of Hamas.

Mahmoud Abbas is calling for a national unity government – and Hamas is welcoming his invitation.
