I’d call the status quo ecocidal extraction ~ or in simpler language, rape. We are beholden to the cult of money, not real wealth.
European expansion into the “New World” has disenfranchised millions and murdered whole nations. Not satisfied with mere genocide we have now advanced to planetary annihilation.
Do we join the mono-dimensional neocon dinosaur Dance of Death or affirm the Genius of Life, that is ecstatic diversity?
Lester Brown calls it the Great Transition. Others have ascribed to it even deeper meaning than just devising practical solutions. Priscilla Stuckey (Kissed by a Fox) talks eloquently about the nature of relationship, and our profound relationship to Nature; how ecological intelligence manifests through Spirit ~ that is pure instinct.
So we must trust that instinctive sense of what is right, what is sane, what is real…our kinship with the truth ~ that is our spiritual birthright. Deny that and we deny existence itself.
We are in the Age of the Black Swan alright. So maybe a Green one will show up just to prove the point…
