Michael Parenti has authored many books such as: God and His Demons; The Assassination of Julius Caesar: A People’s History of Ancient Rome; The Face of Imperialism; Dirty Truths; Blackshirts & REDS; Super Patriotism.

He’s also an unreconstructed old school anti-capitalist and liberal socialist.


Michael Parenti is an award winning, internationally known author. His most recent books are The Face of Imperialism (a critique of the U.S. global empire; 2011) and Waiting for Yesterday: Pages from a Street Kid’s Life (an ethnic memoir about his early life in Italian Harlem; 2013); and Profit Pathology and Other Indecencies.     • I so agree. It’s one of my favorite photos and have used it several times on blog posts. All credit goes to the photographer who took the photo and of course, the protesters who made the banner.
