KPFK Speaker Series featured one of the most sought-after speakers of our time! Chris Hedges who spoke about his new book, America: The Farewell Tour, where he argues that neither political party, now captured by corporate power, addresses the systemic problem. A bitter cry reported from communities across the country, America: The Farewell Tour seeks to jolt us out of our complacency while there is still time.

Thanks, Amy, glad you enjoyed it.
Great conversation. Full of ideas I hadn’t heard before. One minor disagreement: Near the end, Hedges says “get off your electronic devices,” because he says those devices separate us from one another. I think that our electronic devices, if used properly, bring us together more than anything ever has before.
Great interview, grim but deeply apposite and timely; the second video duplicates the first almost entirely….is that intentional Lo?
Thanks for watching, David. And yes, the second video is a duplicate in case the first one becomes “pay only”.
