You wanna believe the stakes are high! Fascinating Abby interview. Pardon my English, but Roger Stone even showed up at the Oxford Union in the UK last February and a few days later trotted over to address the Cambridge Union. I haven’t seen the Netflix film about him, but he does not exactly inspire one’s confidence or trust….of course Bannon showed up at the Oxford Union in November. I listened to that, and have to say despite the protests he spoke well. Whether he can be believed tho’, is altogether another matter….
Interesting, David.
Yes indeed.
I have just listened very carefully to this interview with Abby again; what I find especially relevant in the fiendishly Byzantine context of this Podesta question, is that (if I am not mistaken) both John Pilger but certainly Craig Murray, have stated unequivocally that the hacking source is actually known to them personally, as someone in the Democrat camp. As Sy Hersh has been careful to remind us, the golden rule of ethical journalism is to protect your sources.
There is far too much blood on the tracks already. However, given the dire international consequences of Julian Assange being made a sacrificial victim, It would be extremely encouraging (& actually necessary for the credibility of the US system) if the FBI (Mueller) produced real evidence; that is, substantially and historically inclusive, non-partisan, accurate & precise ~ not just inferential and reliant upon ‘CIA’ confidence. In other words, instead of compounding proliferating crimes of omission, to forensically expose all significant acts of commission ~ without exception or prejudice.
A tall order admittedly, but that is what both the US Constitution and international law call for; & frankly, commands and expects. So it is the legitimacy of the US system that is on trial here.
Thanks, David. Happy New Year to you.
I like to see purveyors of fake news being discredited. Obviously these claims of meetings between Manafort and Assange could be verified by visitor logs at the Ecuadorian Embassy. If they can’t provide this evidence, then it is FAKE NEWS!
Thanks, peacevisionary, great to see you here again. Hope you’ve been well.
