[W]e were greatly comforted during the [Israeli] prime minister’s visit here in May, when the [US] president told the [Israeli] prime minister that there would be a serious reassessment of the engagement policy before the end of the year.
And we are further reassured now that that end-of-the-year deadline has been moved up to September. We actually have a date when it’s going to occur.
We are comforted by the fact that the [Obama] administration, in the aftermath of recent events in Iran, has exhibited greater willingness to consider formulating a package of serious sanctions against Iran, even now in advance of the reassessment.

Michael Oren, Israel’s ambassador to the United States, on Friday warned that an Iranian atomic bomb could “wipe Israel off the map in a matter of seconds,” and that the Iranians could “accomplish in a matter of seconds what they denied Hitler did, and kill 6 million Jews, literally.”
Oren made his comments in a conversation with journalist Jeffrey Goldberg at the Aspen Ideas Festival in Colorado.
The newly appointed ambassador warned, “There are clocks ticking all around,” with regard to the Iranian nuclear issue. “One of those clocks is the uranium enrichment clock, which will show that by a certain date the Iranians will have sufficient, highly enriched uranium materials to create a bomb that could literally wipe Israel off the map in a matter of seconds.”

IAF planes will take part this year in a joint aerial exercise with a NATO-member state that cannot be identified.
In addition, later this month, the air force will send F-16C fighter jets to participate in the Red Flag exercise at the Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. At the same time, several of the IAF’s C-130 Hercules transport aircraft will participate in the Rodeo 2009 competition at the McChord Air Force Base in Washington state.
Defense officials said the overseas exercises would be used to drill long-range manoeuvres. […] Israel has a number of defense pacts with countries under which the air force is allowed to fly in foreign airspace. […]

This getting to sound a lot like what happened about two months before Israel got the US to invade and destroy Iraq and now Pakistan.
Muslims, Arabs, Iranians do not dislike you or hate you Americans for your lifestyle – you have your own ways and they have their own culture, which they happen to like. What is galling to them and other countries outside the US. is that America pays Israel 3million dollars a day plus all the arms and ammunition to kill an occupied, civilian population. It is not the Jews who are the victims in this conflict. It is the Jews of Israel who are committing genocide in Gaza, Jerusalem and The West Bank.
Your American veterans sleep in the streets while American taxpayers pay for a very high standard of universal health coverage for all Jews in Israel.

As for the ridiculous claim that Iran could wipe out Israel with just 1 nuke, what makes you think Iran would destroy the second holiest site to Islam – the Dome of the rock in Jerusalem?
And if you allow for that idiotic reasoning to take hold, then what about Israel’s nuclear TRIAD – land, air and sea retaliatory forces with hundreds of actual nukes? Think they wouldn’t survive with enough force left to vaporize Iran if it tried it?

Long ago, Israel coulda wiped off anyone else, and with the blessings of the USA, hence the nuclear arms race in the middle east and elsewhere.
I hope its not only a matter of time before one of these things goes off, wasn’t Hiroshima enough?
All the more reason why ‘never again’ means jews should NOT congregate in the miserable desert where they are categorically despised (more than ever), and dhould still diaspora to more peaceful realms.

After all the nukes israel has and not signing the NPT, and being in violation 20 pages or so of UN resolutions, israel has NO right to say anything about Iran.

Demagogues know all too well the efficacious power of appealing to the prejudices, emotions and fears of the populace. Ill-intentioned, evil leaders, religious and nationalistic have, throughout the ages, and in most cultures, used the highly-effective weapons of demagoguery and fear mongering to disable the faculty of reason and reasoning in people, so as to get them to go along with and support, fervently, their evil-doings.
You lie enough times big lies; couple them with impassioned distorted facts and spreading of unfounded primordial and existential fear and you’ll have the majority of people eating right out of your hand. If you want them to follow you like brainless sheep, just speak in the name of God, who is exclusively on your side, and/or brandish the never-fails bomb of hyper-nationalism, like Hitler did, and you’ll lead them blindly to wars, death and destruction, that are naturally justifiable, for that is, in their simple and primitive mindset, God’s will and the only way to protect motherland from the bad guys whom you demonized to death.
Many of our politicians in the US have used this WMD on the unsuspecting, less-than-savvy masses, and Israel has been, as well, using this weapon on their own people, and to one degree or another on the people of the US, and they are still using it trying to manipulate and subvert more people into seeing the good in destruction, and the virtues of their evil acts. It’s their weapon of choice, and they will continue to use it for as long as there are simpletons amongst us who buy it.
According to experts, Iran has no nuclear weapons and is developing none. Israel has nuclear weapons and has not signed the the non-proliferation treaty. In the sixty years of its illegal existence, Israel has attacked everyone of its neighbors. In over four hundred years, Iran has attacked no one. Can we all say paranoia?

It is no surprise that Jewish people run the housing project where I live. Like a mini version of Gaza. And if you complain, you are intimidated, or evicted. In every way imaginable, the Jew owners have suppressed, and robbed the good hard working folks of my community. Get this, then they lobby to pass hate crimes targeting Jews. What hyprocrisy, how pushy. This is not even your land; go somewhere else where they may want you.
There is also a Jewish banker here that is fixing to move from a 3 million dollar home, to a 14 million dollar home. And doing this during the brink of a depression here. No wonder what happened to the citizen’s money; I will let the readers guess that one.
If you look back at history. You will find that just about everywhere the Jewish people live, they are hated. Now I know why. Now that doesn’t mean that I would not have a Jew as a friend. But, I will chase away anyone takes up for their countryman, or just sits by and watch their people hurt others (especially in the horrific ways that you guys have). And this goes for my fellow American enablers as well.
It all comes back full circle. There is no lazy answer; it involves participation of us all. And the times that we are most afraid to get involved; is the time when we are needed the most. Our children expect nothing less of us.

Israel is once again exaggerating. But you know, if you treated others with respect, then you would not have to worry. And America is is fed up with you too. Boycotts,have been common place. And the American people are aware of the great influence Israel’s lobby on the American Government. There are many here who believe our public servants should be tried for treason. Furthermore, the money that you siphon off from our land will soon stop. This includes all the weapons you get from us to protect yourself. Instead, you use these weapons to start horrific wars with people who have done nothing to you. The propaganda in America for it’s wars, and our treasonous public servants help with your wars; is now becoming main stream news. In other words, your greed, destruction, and lies are catching up to you both. There is going to be big change, and the criminals will soon find their way to jail. Already, many of you are banned from other’s countries; and will be tried for war crimes should you set foot on foreign soil. And just like in America, the citizens who sit quiet, and enable these horrific crimes to humanity; are just as much at fault. So, why don’t you sleep on that.
