  5. You already have a number of what one might call socialist values. Police, Fire, Armed Forces, Tourist attractions, National and State parks, National and State museums and libraries, public schools, wildlife reserves, wet lands for irrigation and birds, social services, unemployment insurance or some form of it and the list goes on. What you are seeing is a tug of war, between the people against the wealthy, who hold the funds they looted from the people. True socialist values are world-wide. The good of the many out weighs the destruction caused by the few.

    • Yes, but many in government want to privatize some of these things. Also, the workers don’t (for the most part) own the means of production. The tax rate is obscenely skewed towards the wealthy and for corporations, some of which don’t pay any taxes whatsoever and some even receive money back! It’s more like corporate welfare and the numbers are huge.
