Chris Hedges is so prodigiously intelligent. He must understand the Dao and has intimated as much…indeed, we should all do ourselves the service of heeding the mutating, sinuous wisdom of the ancients and face our omnigalactic future with luminous, invincible, incandescent resolve and far-sighted metaphysical conviction.
Turn our rage into art. Transmute arrogance into aspiration….humility into reflexive action.
David Swanson (like so many other brave souls, Bruce Gagnon, Leonard Peltier, Chelsea Manning and so many others….women, and men) should receive a Congressional Medal or a Presidential Medal of Freedom.
How can political morality get so inverted that the true heroes and heroines of the US are vilified, excluded from participatory action ~ pilloried, persecuted, even prosecuted and imprisoned? Or actually threatened with assassination (droning Ed Snowden for example) ? What kind of “establishment” condones that?
As Michael Gecan, in his recent RT interview with Chris Hedges (On Contact) depicted the eviscerated Democratic Party: it is now, all, just about money, charismatic hyperbole and media sensation ~ no authentic relating and no action; just a perpetual vacuous re-enactment of itself.
It’s the end of the road. Chris Hedges speaks (elsewhere) of starting from scratch, from zero. He is right.
We should take the temperature of this fevered body politic, the “United States of America.” The prognosis is dire.
Boycott ‘its’ sick media! ridicule the corrupt status quo! count our legitimate planetary blessings and build a coalition of the virtuous!! Stand with the Water Protectors of Standing Rock!
For they/we far exceed, in prudence and foresight, the venal and verminous adherents of base and sinister persuasions; those who have beguiled and utterly corrupted the entire US establishment ~ shame on you, villains, thieves, murderers of innocence!
You monstrous bigots and pork barrel butchers, who value nothing but the vain allure of your impotent greed & will bring down the entire edifice of institutional power on everyone’s heads, without so much as a murmur of regret; that is, unless the wise, the just and the enlightened stand strong and determined together ~ to sow the righteous seeds of a better, healthier and more realistic, globally respected, American Union.
